Powered by the Women’s Sports Foundation, February 3, 2021, marks the 35th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD). This celebration inspires girls and women to play and be active and to realize their full power. The confidence, strength, and character gained through sports participation are the very tools girls and women need to become strong leaders in sports and life.

At the OGRCC, we are proud to have over 1,800 member families with over 1,000 girls participating in our sports on an annual basis.  We, along with the NGWSD, are proud to honor the achievements of all female athletes, coaches, and leaders by acknowledging these contributions and by continuing to provide quality programming for all our young women.

The Women’s Sports Foundation is holding a virtual event, tomorrow, Wednesday, February 3rd from 5-6 pm.  Click here for more information and how to attend.

To read more about the importance of sports for our young, female athletes, we encourage you to visit the Women’s Sports Foundation’s website and read their study, “Keeping Girls in the Game“.
