ART CAMP
Budding artists will learn to draw and paint and become acquainted with the master artists. Your child will thrive in our warm, nurturing, and fun creative summer art camp for kids ages 6-15. Each child is taught to their ability. This is a joyous and unique summer art camp experience that is loved by parents and kids alike. Our young budding artists have a blast daily as they:
-Create multiple art projects through painting, drawing, mixed-media & more
-Receive one-on-one online art instruction with professional artists
-Enjoy customized, encouraging art studio instruction
-Discover the world of famous artists
-Tap into creativity with child-friendly paintings on canvas, pastels, and charcoal
-Practice true self-expression
-The subject matter is flexible for each artist
Come inside, relax and wind down with afternoon painting. Choose from the wide variety of photos we have on hand or bring your own. We work from photographs, practice sketching and then use acrylic paint to produce dynamic and layered pieces of art. Themes are suggested, not mandatory.
Materials provided except canvases (students will need about four 16″ x 20″ canvases.)
This is a non-competitive drawing and painting class. All levels are encouraged; students work at an individualized pace.
JoAnn has taught painting locally for the past ten years. She has been involved in the visual arts for more than 30 years. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design and Merchandising, she moved to New York City and worked for a variety of designers, including Marc Jacobs. Over time, JoAnn pursued her painting vocation at night at Silvermine Art School under David Dunlop and at Greenwich Art Society under Enzo Russo, a pupil of Georgio de Chirico. JoAnn also has developed and currently teaches an art curriculum for children, “Paint-A-Masterpiece.” Her work can be found throughout the United States in offices and private homes.
