Recreational Soccer

Overview

The OGRCC recreational soccer program is in partnership with Mickey Kydes Soccer (MKS). MKS brings 28 years of on-field experience to our recreational soccer program.  The goals for each child are to develop a love for the game and an opportunity to learn from pros in a structured and developmentally appropriate learning environment.  This is an all-inclusive and non-competitive experience emphasizing soccer skills, responsibility, sportsmanship, and fun.

In the Fall and Spring seasons, for grades K-5, there will be one practice in the week with professional coaches and a game on the weekend managed by parent coaches. For Tots and Little Stars (Pre-K), there are no games. Also, during the Winter season, there are no weekend games.

Starting in the Fall, at the older age groups, we do our best to balance teams with Thunder players and fill the remaining roster spots with kids from similar schools on each team.  At the younger age groups, we form teams based on the school the child attends.  We do not take friend requests.

All soccer clinics WILL be held on all early release days and all days even if schools are closed.
