We are excited to kick off our summer beach camp and would like to highlight some new additions to the Sandpipers Leadership team.
AnnaMarie Fortuna – Camp Co-Director
Meet Anna Marie: I am passionate about helping and guiding others, especially our younger generations! I have over 7 years of experience working at summer camps. I started out as a camp counselor, then head counselor, and eventually Health and Safety Coordinator/Assistant
Jess Murphy – Assistant Director / Arts & Crafts Coordinator / Life Guard
Meet Jess: I will be the Assistant Camp Director at Sandpipers this year. I attended Sandpipers for many years as a kid and now attend Northeastern University. I love working with kids and have extensive experience babysitting, tutoring, and lifeguarding. I also love playing tennis, swimming, cooking, and hanging out with my friends! I’m super excited about this summer!
In addition, we have Yuki Ikeda, our fearless leader, who has been running Sandpipers for years. Jason Foust, the Aquatics Director, is returning for his fifth year. Jack Ludington, the Senior Lifeguard, has also been with the team for over five years.
All registered campers must have all paperwork submitted before attending camp. Here’s a reminder of what to bring:
Beach Bag, Towel, Sunscreen, Bathing Suit, Camp T-shirt, Sweatshirt or Jacket, Water shoes (no flip-flops or socks), Water (please bring two bottles), and Lunch in a plastic zip-lock bag with your child’s name on it (NO lunchboxes, please). We need as much space as possible as we store lunches in a cooler box mandated by the State of Connecticut. NOTE: Your child should wear their bathing suit to camp.
The leadership team and all our amazing counselors are excited to meet all our young campers. Cheers to a wonderful summer!
