Please join us in welcoming Simon Rumbold, our new Travel Soccer Administrator. Simon has been working alongside Alicia Collier this past month to learn all the ins and outs to take over the Administrator position.
Meet Simon:
A native of Swindon, England, Rumbold’s coaching experience includes coaching stints with Yeshiva University, Brad Freidel Academy, Munay Soccer Academy, Greenwich High School and is a current Greenwich United coach. Rumbold recently obtained his USSF C license in addition to his FA and NSCAA coaching qualifications.
As a 2010 graduate of Notre Dame College, a Division II College in South Euclid, Ohio, Rumbold was a four-year letter winner with its men’s soccer team. During that time, the Falcons won three Mountain East Conference championships and made two NCAA Division II tournament appearances. Rumbold also featured in an NPSL national final with the Erie Admirals. While in England he played semi-professionally for Cirencester Town in the Southern Premier League.
Simon is looking forward to working with all the fall teams to keep the travel soccer program running smoothly. Welcome, Simon!
Goodbye and Thank You to Alicia:
A BIG thank you to Alicia Collier for her years of service as our Soccer Administrator. Her exceptional organizational skills kept all teams and coaches running smoothly despite all the weather-related field issues over the years. Her warm and fun personality will be missed – always willing to help players/coaches/families and office staff. Thank you, Alicia! We wish you luck in your future endeavors.
We can’t wait to see all of our soccer teams on the fields again this fall! Enjoy the summer and don’t forget to sign up for pre-season camp in August.
